Brighton director completes 12,000 ft skydive for Rethink Mental Illness

Brighton director Phil Graves has completed a tandem skydive from 12,000 ft in support of Rethink Mental Illness, raising funds for the charity following the loss of a family friend earlier this year.

The skydive took place at Headcorn, Kent, where Phil was supported by friends and family.

“This was completely outside my comfort zone. I am scared of heights, and every fibre of your body tells you not to jump. It became both a mental and physical challenge, which felt particularly fitting given the charity I was supporting,” said Phil.

Phil raised almost £6,000 for Rethink Mental Illness, supporting the charity’s work to improve the lives of people severely affected by mental illness.

“I believe awareness is vital, and anyone affected by mental illness should know they are not alone and that there is always someone to talk to,” added Phil, who is now considering his next challenge in support of the charity.
