The Tate Gallery

Works in connection with the impressive Tate Building at the main entrance to the Sussex County Cricket Club are drawing to a close and should be concluded early Q2 2023 for the new residents and commercial tenants to take occupation.

Arranged over eight floors comprising 37 quality apartments – the ‘Tate Residences’, a new ground floor lounge bar - the ‘Sussex Cricketer’ and 12,679 sq ft of Grade A offices – the ‘Tate offices’, complete the scheme jointly developed by Sussex Cricket and Roffey Homes.

Joint sole agents Michael Jones & Company and Brand Vaughan/Graves Jenkins successfully sold every apartment ‘off plan’ and the initial phases throughout the pandemic which demonstrated the strength of the local market and quality of the development.

The public house has been let to Indigo Pub Group who operate multiple sites throughout the city and they will trade as the ‘Sussex Cricketer’ so to continue the established hospitality food and drink hub which has been a recognised and popular venue for decades.

The concentration on marketing is now with the Tate offices which again are nearing completion and offer much required Grade A office space for the city situated over three floors linked by the main entrance hall, staircase, passenger lift and secure car parking.

“We are excited to bring these offices to the market at a time when commercial business, post pandemic, recognises the importance of providing their workforce with high quality modern office accommodation. Hove in particular has a shortage of modern space and represents great value when in direct comparison to Brighton city centre,” commented letting agent Phil Graves of Graves Jenkins.

Rob Andrew, CEO at Sussex Cricket added, “we are already in discussions with a few interested parties who we would welcome to Sussex cricket as part of our new and vibrant development and the first phase of our masterplan to improve facilities at the ground.”
