Lanes Offices Let in a Flash!

Graves Jenkins have leased more Brighton city centre offices and ultimately adding further to their ‘during COVID’ prediction that the office environment is here to stay.

Partly refurbished and new build offices in Ship Street have been let to MPB, the online platform who trade photographic and video equipment worldwide with associated offices in Berlin and Brooklyn. The 4,800 sq. ft of offices have been taken by the Company to expand their Brighton operation after recently attracting further venture capital investment of around £50 million – one of the largest for the city and to add to its growing reputation in the creative industry sector.

MPB have seen the benefits of COVID as home bound photographers seek to cash in or upgrade their equipment. Matt Barker, founder and CEO stated, ““This funding round is a major milestone for MPB, culminating a decade of strong performance and a vision to make great kit accessible and affordable…we can accelerate our US and European growth strategy at scale.”

Oliver Graves at GJ who handled the letting commented, “Following our appointment, we planned a marketing strategy which included social media exposure which brought about a number of inspections including MPB. Within two weeks heads of terms were agreed and to everyone’s delight, the deal completed six weeks later.”

As further repositioning in the office sector takes place, more enquiries remain unsuited as the required accommodation is simply not readily available.

“We are seeking more office stock and landlords are having to be more flexible on their leasing structure,” added Oli.
