Graves Jenkins have completed a deal for the sale of a long established 'private shop' in Surrey Street, adjacent to Brighton station.
The two storey premises of about 1,100 sq ft, which currently trades over both floors, is due to close in the next few weeks and a local based developer has purchased the building with a view to turning it from a commercial to residential use.
Phil Graves, who handled the sale on behalf of Roldvale Trading Limited, commented, "the building was originally constructed in about 1890 and the new owner wants to convert the property back to its original use. I'm sure the neighbours will be delighted and both the building and the street will be greatly enhanced."
Graves Jenkins were guiding £350,000 and after a huge volume of interest, multiple offers and an informal best bids tender process, the transaction was concluded within a six week period.
Phil added further, "no stock was included in the sale."
