Major US developer funds Gatwick site purchase

Following a relatively short but intensive marketing campaign and negotiations, Crawley based Aerotron Ltd, advised by Graves Jenkins, have sold a 7.6 acre site in Salfords, just to the north of Gatwick.
Mark Westley, director of Aerotron, one of Europe’s leading suppliers to the aviation industry, specialising in component support solutions to both Civil and Military markets, commented "Aerotron is delighted with the advice and service that Graves Jenkins provided in this transaction and their experience in the market place enabled us to obtain maximum shareholder value".
David Bessant, who advised on the sale, confirmed the site has been purchased in a joint-venture between Goya Developments and US based Hillwood, to speculatively build a 170,000 ft.² £50 million gross development value, multi warehouse scheme, which is much needed to satisfy the ongoing demand and very limited supply within the Gatwick Diamond.
