Following the sale of the 7.6 acre former Phillips site, just north of Gatwick, Graves Jenkins have been retained by the purchaser, a JV between Goya Developments and US-based Hillwood, together with the purchasers agent, SHW, to advise on the proposed redevelopment of the site as Marketing agents.
The proposed scheme known as North Gatwick Gateway, on Cross Oak Lane within a short distance of Gatwick airport, is a new 170,000 ft.² speculative build multi warehouse development.
Jim Bryan of Goya commented “This is a great opportunity to bring new jobs back to this site, where there is such a huge demand for warehousing in the Gatwick Area.
David Bessant, head of agency at Graves Jenkins said “Having sold the site for Aerotron, we are delighted to be retained by Goya to market the development. A planning application will shortly be submitted and we are already discussing the site with a number of parties looking to take leases on units. We anticipate a large proportion, if not all, will be pre-let prior to construction. We are pleased to be working with Goya Developments (www.goyadevelopments.co.uk) on this exciting major new development”.
