Contractor lands in Gatwick Road

Acting on behalf of a retained investment fund client, Graves Jenkins have completed the letting of Orchard House (formerly known as Aviareps House) in Gatwick Road, Crawley, to the groundworks and muckaway contractor, PJ Brown (Construction) Limited.

The property comprises a detached listed office building extending to approximately 3,945 sq ft (originally a 16th century house, with a substantial modern 2 storey extension) within an attractive gated site, providing an excellent car parking ratio, situated in a prominent location within the Manor Royal Business District.

David Bessant who advised on the instruction, commented “on obtaining vacant possession, and following our advice, our client refurbished the building prior to re-letting. The quality of the refurbishment together with, in particular, the location providing easy access to Gatwick Airport, the M23 and Crawley Town Centre, and low parking ratio (1:158 sq ft), elevated the building above available competition. We are pleased to have achieved a letting on a new FR&I lease, at the asking rent of £75,000 per annum exclusive, to an established, well known and well regarded local Company”.
