Pi with a difference ( not the steak and mushroom kind ! )
10 May 2012 By Robin James
Pi ( as in the mathematical symbol ) has recently opened its doors at 80/81/82 Preston Street in Brighton and is looking forward to taking advantage of the heavy footfall from the Brighton seafront summer trade.
Operating as a “modern Café “ it will offer a range of light meals and snacks, plus a selection of smoothies, milkshakes or something from the comprehensive Coffee Bar. Pi will also provide it's customers with the option of playing various table games and a free WiFi service.
The double fronted unit was leased through Graves Jenkins and offered 1668 sq ft of retail space, all at ground floor level. The asking rent was £28,500 pa.
“ Situated just off the seafront at the bottom end of Preston Street means that the outlet will be able to attract local residents, students and tourists. Preston Street could experience a sudden revival with a national coffee chain taking premises at the top end of the street, a new restaurant on the corner at the south end, plus the prospect of the i360 tower development which should attract thousands of visitors to the area. It could be a perfect time to establish a new business in the area, “ commented Robin James who handled the transaction.
